What You Will Do
In just only one amazing block at the heart of town, have a chance to be explained the basic origins of Mexican staple foods. From the process of nixtamalization to the art of holding a soft taco without losing its contents, become an absolute expert on different foods from Mexico.

Guava or Pineapple juices are as Mexican as Chocolate or Vanilla along Tomato and Avocado. Take the time to learn the origins of food and how did it escaped Mexico to please the world’s palates.
Please do not have breakfast before this tour and give it a thought at avoiding dinner. So many tastings await you, from tinga to nopales and from chiles rellenos to chicharrón that you may come prepared for the greatest encounter with true Mexican food, ever.
Around the block we will have the chance to admire three beautiful churches, El Pilar, La Encarnación and Santo Domingo as we stroll past the cantina that brags about having the largest selection of tequilas in the world.
Where You Will Be
We will be in the Historic Center of Mexico City, around La Enseñanza, an ancient public school for girls, now turned into a research institute.

The Experience
On this experience you will discover a wide variety of foods that Mexico City locals consume for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. From the humble stew tacos (tacos de guisado) that can be a meal by themselves to the exotic pambazos of chorizo and potato, be prepared to taste and enjoy as much as possible.
Ending Point, Facilities and Transportation
This experience ends at the very same block where it begins. Close to Metrobus station República de Argentina on Line 4N. Zócalo metro station is two blocks away. Uber or other cars can pick you up at the Nuestra Señora del Pilar church. Your host will always remain with you until he makes sure everyone has the right directions and/or help for their next destination.

Guest Requirements
Up to 10 guests ages 18 and up can attend. All experiences include a long walk, mostly under the sun, with very few restroom stops (depending on the destination). Liquids aren't allowed inside venues, please be willing to dispose of your containers.

This experience goes on rain or shine, please come prepared. In case of rain, we will do our best to spend as much time as possible indoors. In case of unforeseen closures of streets or venues, we are always prepared with an equivalent or alternate route.
