As we visit the traditional neighborhood of Coyoacán we will enter the living quarters and fortress against the KGB, where Leon Trotsky, Soviet Union and Red Army founder, lived, was murdered and is buried in exile while we learn about his relationship to Frida Kahlo who lived a few blocks away.
We also take you to Kahlo´s home, the focal point of this visit, where we will have a full visit of the house complex and gardens.
Before heading to the magnificently decorated church of Saint John the Baptist, built almos 500 years ago, we will visit the local handicraft and produce market. Lunch will be held at a traditional local eatery.
Where You Will Be
We will pick you up at your accommodation within the Mexico City limits before heading directly to Frida's Casa Azul at the northern limits at Coyoacán.
We will visit the local produce market, where we will have lunch, as well as the 16th century church of Saint John the Baptist. Then we will go to the WWII era fortress and home to the soviet founder Leon Trotsky and visit his tomb, never claimed by Russia.
