Looking for a unique experience that includes history, top sites, tacos, and local drinks? This one is ideal for newcomers and seasoned travelers alike.
This experience takes place in one World Heritage Site.
What You Will Do
This experience is designed to introduce you to town, show you Mexican history, and to see one great World Heritage site from above.
Many people visit us, but don't know where to start and often end up getting lost and wasting their time. This is why I put together this tour which not only tells you about our history, but let you see our great Historic District from above.
This is a journey through the different cultural eras of Mexico with different views, including the Pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Modern times. I will show you the city’s greatest landmarks in their historical context, while sitting down and admiring the greatness of the city at night and from above.
During this experience, different kinds of Mexican street food will be tasted. This tasting will feature tacos al pastor, or tacos de canasta, depending on the date or availability. The taquerias or stands will be found at street level while going between rooftops.
By the end of the experience, you will have enough knowledge to incorporate all your past and future experiences in Mexico as I will share stories about the people, architecture, culture, religion, and international events that have shaped this important city and financial hub in world history.
Where You Will Be
We will enjoy the views and learn the city's history while visiting and walking between three terraces and a taco stand in the very heart of town, always around the Metropolitan Cathedral.
What Is Included
· The experience's host and expert.
· Entrance to some private or public locations has been agreed and is fully included.
· A domestic drink or cocktail will be offered at each terrace plus a taco snack and a soft drink at a taquería.
This experience will offer you the magnificent nightly sights of the historic center, from above, at three strategic terraces where you will be able to appreciate and learn about the three stages of Mexican history: Pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Independent. In-between terraces we will stop at one taquería.
